Welcome!
We are a network of professionals who support the wellness community in
Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Our purpose is twofold:
• To raise women’s awareness of the many local options they have when
seeking services to create healthier and more balanced lives
• To support the women who provide these wellness services
As more and more women want to learn about and experience new ways to
create and maintain a healthy lifestyle, there has become a need for a
central gathering place to connect these seekers with providers. One of
our goals is for this website to become the premier source of information
about our local wellness services and providers. We are dedicated to strengthening
an existing informal network of contacts and relationships into a thriving,
well-connected community of like-minded women.
How can you lend your support? Remember that you have a choice of where
you shop! One of the easiest ways is simply to make a commitment to buy
from women-owned businesses whenever possible, and tell your friends to
do the same. Another way is to gather those same friends and come to our
annual event on
Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the
YWCA of Lancaster.
We want to introduce you to these wellness-focused entrepreneurs in a fun-filled, educational environment. Currently, our primary method of doing so is our annual day-long event, which features an inviting variety of workshops and service providers, as well as an artisan marketplace and a delicious selection of food from local restaurants. It's a great day for women of all ages to come together and spend time learning, relaxing, shopping, and eating, all while knowing that all proceeds of the event will be donated to the YWCA of Lancaster and Lancaster County Domestic Violence Services.
Please note: The 2008 Executive Committee would like to clarify
that Woman2Woman Lancaster is an event for women of all ages. The
goal of the day is to provide an environment where women can feel comfortable
and supported trying new ideas and activities. Through this event, we hope
to create a community of women, where each can listen, share, and grow.
While we recognize that this type of event would benefit the men in our
lives and we appreciate the support and balance that they contribute, this
event is not the appropriate place for their participation. Thank you for
your understanding.
