Join us as we celebrate our 6th annual event on
Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the YWCA of Lancaster
We are pleased to announce that the Sixth Annual Woman to Woman will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2008 from 9:00am to 4:30pm at the YWCA of Lancaster, 110 N. Lime Street, Lancaster. This year's theme is Harmony.
Woman to Woman has a new permanent home at the YWCA of Lancaster. Following two years of successful events held at the YWCA, Woman to Woman has transitioned to be an initiative of the YWCA.
The YWCA Woman to Woman event showcases women-owned businesses in Lancaster County that promote wellness and empowerment. More than 300 women from all walks of life attend Woman to Woman to sample offerings through workshops and personal services. A marketplace featuring local women artisans and food from local restaurants provides a place for participants to connect with other women throughout the day.

From 10:00-4:00, we will offer mini healing and relaxation services continuously, with at least 8 stations operating throughout the day. Each service provider will have a 2 hour commitment, serving 8-10 women. The 2 hours may be completed in one 2 hour shift or in two separate 1 hour shifts. Each individual mini session should be restricted to 10 minutes, with several minutes allowed for turnover between clients.
All of these services will be provided in one large room at the YWCA, divided with screens into semi-private stations. The room will be designated as a “quiet area”, with appropriate music and lighting to set the mood. This year, we expect to have a separate waiting room outside the service area to provide a comfortable atmosphere for the women who are waiting for their service.
